Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re new to buying directly from a farm, you’re in the right place. Here are the most common questions we hear from first-time customers.

How does ordering & payments work?

For all chicken orders, you'll pay a flat rate price online, then we’ll review and confirm the exact weight at packaging or pickup time and send your final invoice.

For egg orders, you'll be charged the current rate. Delivery fees are charged at time of delivery (if applicable).

For subscriptions, your card will only be charged before each scheduled delivery or pickup, and you can pause or cancel any time.

How does Pre-Ordering for Chickens work?

We process chickens 4-6 times per year from May until October. You can pre-order chickens now, and pick them up fresh at our farm on processing day. This is the best option that guarantees availability and freshness.

Do you deliver to my area?

We currently offer local delivery within our surrounding region as well as on-farm pickup. In the order form, share your address, and we’ll confirm whether you’re inside our delivery radius and what the delivery fee (if any) would be before you pay.

Can I change or pause my subscription?

Yes. Subscriptions are designed to be flexible. You can skip a week, pause for travel, or adjust your box contents and frequency. Just reach out at least 24 hours before your next scheduled delivery or pickup.

Is everything frozen or fresh?

Most orders are delivered fresh within 48 hours of processing and may arrive lightly chilled or partially frozen for food safety. If you have a strong preference for fresh vs frozen, let us know in the notes section of the order form and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

What if I’m not home for delivery?

If you won’t be home, you can leave a cooler with ice packs by your door, or choose farm pickup instead. We’ll coordinate a delivery window with you so your chicken and eggs stay safe and cold.
